Large Item Pick-Up

As a convenience for Vandalians, Rumpke will provide weekly curbside removal of 2 bulk items for no fee if residents call Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171 at least 24 hours in advance. Upholstered items such as a couch, chair, or a mattress must be wrapped in plastic before it will be picked up. Appliances containing Freon (i.e. fridges, AC units) require special handling and must be tagged. Please contact Rumpke 1-800-828-8171 for proper handling.

Construction Waste

Rocks, dirt or construction debris should not be put in the trash. Construction containers are available for rent. Please contact Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171 for more information.

Bulk Trash Drop-Off

In addition to curbside removal, the city will continue to hold a bulk item drop-off at the Vandalia's City Garage, 97 Clubhouse Way, on the second Saturday on designated months as shown on the city calendar. However, waste will be strictly limited to brush, limbs and large construction debris. Alternatively, you may dispose of almost any disposables, including household chemicals, paint, cleaners and motor oil directly at the Montgomery County South Incinerator at any time during the month.
