What’s EMAC?
EMAC is a FREE proactive program offered to Vandalia residents. The program equips Vandalia Police and Division of Fire personnel with time-
saving information to help locate a missing child or adult.
The program is designed for adults with Alzheimer’s Disease, schizophrenia or other mental health issues, and juveniles with autism, Downs
Syndrome or other developmental issues. The program focuses on those with a medical condition who would be at-risk if away from home alone.
Simply complete the EMAC registration form available in the link below or pick up a packet at the Vandalia Division of Police. Once completed,
you can drop off a recent photo of your loved one with the paperwork off or call (937) 898-5868 to have an officer respond to pick it up. The date will be
entered into a secure database, available only to emergency personnel.
If a loved one is missing, police and fire will already have the photo and a description to begin a search immediately. Once a year an officer will
contact your family for any updates and a more recent photo.
This proactive preparation saves valuable time in an emergency, equipping our responders with the vital details they need for a fast resolution!
