22. Waiver and Release

    I agree to waive and discharge any and all claims and to hold harmless the City of Vandalia, Ohio, its elected and appointed officials, all employees and volunteers, all boards, commissions and/or authorities and board members, including employees and volunteers thereof from any claims for injury or damages, except for our sole negligence, that may arise from, or in connection with, my volunteer service.

    I understand and I freely and voluntarily assume all risks and responsibilities associated therewith, and notwithstanding such, I agree to be bound by its conditions.

    This Waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law.  If any provision or any part of any provision of this Waiver is held to be invalid or legally unenforceable for any reason, the remainder of this Waiver shall not be affected thereby and shall remain valid and fully enforceable.
