Corey M. Follick
Elected to Council in November, 2019
Corey was born and raised in Vandalia, and has made the City his home since graduating from college.
He is the Director & Chief of Police for the City of Englewood.
Corey earned a B.S. in Education/Recreation Administration from Bowling Green State University and a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Dayton. He has more than 28 years of public service & local government experience with the cities of Englewood, Kettering, Mason and Vandalia.
Corey said he decided to run for Council to give the community a fresh perspective.
“Vandalia has a great city staff, a strong history of conservative fiscal policy, and top-notch city services,” he said. “But there are always opportunities for change and improvements to make Vandalia even better, and after volunteering on several city boards and committees, I felt that I had even more to offer my hometown.”
Corey’s priorities for Vandalia include: attracting and retaining businesses, maintaining responsive and efficient public safety and city services, strategically investing our tax dollars to address our aging infrastructure (water & sewer utilities, roads) and parks and recreation facilities. He supports the City’s efforts to implement initiatives and projects from both the 2020 Comprehensive Plan and the 2023 Parks & Recreation Master Plan to assist in shaping Vandalia’s future and to improve the quality of life for our residents.
“I am a strong advocate of involvement and transparency in local government, and I encourage residents to contact me anytime with a question, concern or compliment,” he said. “Email is typically the best way to reach me, but a phone call is always welcome.”
