Firefighter/Paramedic Miller was selected as the 2011 Firefighter of the Year. He was selected for his extraordinary performance and efforts this year, especially in the pursuit of improved organizational safety. Miller was hired on December 29, 2008, as a part time employee. On July 29, 2010, he was hired as a full time Firefighter/Paramedic. He has dedicated much of his time, both on and off duty, in 2011 as a member of the citywide safety committee as the Fire Division representative. Firefighter/ Paramedic Miller also earned the award of Firefighter of the Year in 2009.
